In Your Dreams by Stephanie Ojo is a children’s book helping little ones overcome their fear and anxiety about bedtime. Mama finds that getting Alexander calm and ready for sleep is very hard as he has so many questions and last requests. He does not feel tired so Mama slips into his bed to teach him that bedtime can be full of enjoyable adventures. She asks him what he wants them to do together in his dreams. Alexander becomes excited about the many activities that he wants to do like snuggling with his new baby brother, playing basketball with his older brother, and more. Alexander learns that bedtime can be fun using his imagination.

Author Stephanie Ojo writes a very charming and simple storyline that is both educational and entertaining, teaching parents and young children to embrace bedtime instead of fearing it. Bedtime becomes much easier and faster. Children also learn the important skills of using their imaginations and creativity effectively and productively. The illustrations are full of bright colors and cool items like trucks and animals that keep young readers glued to the action-packed pages. I appreciate that a bi-racial couple and their children are being depicted since it teaches young children about the diversity that surrounds them. Children of all ethnicities and cultures will feel included and represented. This opens up an opportunity for parents to talk about skin color and different cultures. In Your Dreams is a must-have book for all families to make bedtime exciting.
