Is There Anyone? A Call to Those Who Were Born for Something More by Saul Miranda is an invitation to take seriously the questions God asks and to accept His call. It examines key moments in the lives of several biblical characters, including Moses, the woman with the issue of blood, Martha, Saul, Joseph, and others. He also devotes an entire chapter to the Holy Spirit and shares many of his own struggles and experiences that relate to several Bible stories. While the questions God asks each character are at the forefront of each character's story, deep spiritual insights are scattered throughout the pages. Eye-catching and related images are included at the beginning of each chapter.
There aren’t enough words to describe how much I enjoyed and appreciated Is There Anyone? Not only did Saul Miranda’s writing style draw me in from the first line, but the spiritual insights he shared were incredibly deep. Bible stories I thought I knew well now have more meaning. I also gained a deeper understanding of God’s love and His character as I read these pages, thanks to the way the Bible stories were told. It seems as though I’ve encountered God in a fresh way, and that impression is lingering. This book will be a great benefit to anyone who wonders if they’ve been disqualified from God’s call for any reason. It will also encourage any Christian who longs for a deeper walk with God. I highly recommend this book and am so glad I read it.
