Jenny Hershberger’s life came to an abrupt end when her husband Jonathan was tragically killed in an accident. Jenny leaves her life as she knows it with her daughter Rachel and moves back to her home in Apple Creek, Ohio, to live with her adoptive parents and go through her grieving process. When a publisher discovers Jenny has an amazing gift for writing, he helps in getting her first book published.
I was so sad for Jenny, because she and Jonathan were so in love, and were living at the farm she inherited. Life was turning out happily for her family. So why did it all have to end, just when it was beginning for them? After reading the first two books in this series, I was so looking forward to a happy ending with Jenny’s life story. But that is just not what God had planned for them at this time. I read so many books and I usually don’t cry a lot, but this one had me crying because of the intense emotion of it all. Author Patrick Craig has an amazing way of pulling readers into the story, and making it seem as though we are living in the story with his characters. Boy, did I feel those emotions in Jenny’s Choice. This is truly one book I didn’t want to finish; I just wanted to keep going on and on. Jenny’s writing helped pull her out of her grieving, and of course the handsome publisher could have had something to do with it. I won’t give the plot away, but you will love this Amish story. Mr. Craig writes Amish like no other, and you are sure to enjoy this latest one from Patrick E. Craig.
