Learning From The Relationships Of Jesus by Dionne Laborde is full of scriptures that help readers understand the relationships Jesus had with different people during His reign on earth. When Jesus was on earth, He lived a holy life without sin. It's difficult for our human nature to believe this, but because He was God in the flesh, He knew no sin. Many people believed in Jesus as He spent His time teaching about His Father in Heaven. Jesus tells one of His disciples Thomas in John 14:6, "I (Jesus) am the (only) way (to God) and the (real) truth and the (real) life, and no one comes to the Father but through Me (Jesus)." And the words in parentheses are words the author injects into the verse. This verse teaches that Jesus is the only way to Heaven. This entire book teaches the relationships Jesus has with God His Father, with religious leaders, government authorities, and several other groups of people. Can these relationships help you in your walk with the Lord?
I found Learning From The Relationships Of Jesus to be an interesting book, and I enjoyed what Dionne Laborde has to say as she describes the verses. She always backs up what she says with scriptures that corroborate her words. Although I have heard and read a lot about Jesus' reign on earth, I haven't broken His relationships down as this book has. Having this book is a valuable tool for anyone who wants to know what happened during the reign of Jesus; after He was born in a manger in Bethlehem, as we celebrate at Christmas. But not everyone believes this way or sees the Bible as Christians do, and this is certainly their right. I still think it might be interesting for anyone to read this book. It is written so everyone can plainly understand how much Jesus loves us. I highly recommend Learning From The Relationships Of Jesus by Dionne Laborde to everyone.
