Life Lessons of Nature Volume 2: Tales Under The Canopy by Jared Dewberry is a collection of stories set in the rainforest, where each creature and season teaches readers something clear and memorable. A farmer waits for his bamboo seed to grow, showing patience and hope. A toucan shows pride in being different, while a sloth explains the strength in moving slowly. A jaguar speaks about courage and finding your own way. A giraffe shows how to look upward with confidence, and bees explain the value of shared work. The wet season brings steady rain that renews the forest, while the poison dart frog proves that even the smallest can have great power. The green anaconda teaches patience, and the harpy eagle shows freedom in flight. Together, these voices create gentle lessons that are enjoyable for young readers.
Life Lessons of Nature Volume 2 by Jared Dewberry delighted me from the first page. The colorful imagery brings each lesson to life. The art style is welcoming and makes the book easy to share with children. I loved the playful rhythm of the lines and how the story connects from the patient farmer with his bamboo seed to the harpy eagle flying high above the canopy. The verses have a steady rhythm that keeps the pace smooth and makes it easy to stay focused. The narrative is calm but full of life, with the animals speaking in playful and wise ways, and the rain joining in as a giver of life. The characters stand out clearly, not only as creatures but also as guides sharing lessons on courage, patience, and identity. I loved how the themes wove into one another: resilience, stewardship, confidence, and joy, so that the book offers more than poems; it offers guidance. I recommend this book to parents and teachers who want children to learn gentle lessons about patience, courage, and kindness through colorful poems and beautiful pictures.
