Lines of poetry often communicate the deeper feelings that a person might have and, therefore, can give the reader a profound look into a person’s soul. Lost Memoirs from the Internal World is a great example of how the poetry of Sumit Allup has dealt with loss, pain, death and despair. However, it also communicates the other side to those more negative parts of life by illustrating how hope, reconciliation, redemption and salvation have played a role in life. The rhyming lines, sometimes reminiscent of Doctor Seuss, are at times humorous as well as tragic and inspirational. Panic for Peace, Song of the Martyr, Naked, Quiet Kid and Amazed Man are only a few of the 29 titles that come from a struggling heart that is searching for and occasionally finding the answers to life’s deeper questions. There are several poems with universal truths that are certain to touch nearly every soul.

Sumit Allup has created a unique means of writing memoirs in Lost Memoirs from the Internal World. The confusion and heartache of adolescence is readily depicted within the rhyming lines of poetry with which the author has decided to communicate their feelings. With plenty of tragedy evident in a young life, the author has found a way to draw in readers and share not only the bad, but also the good that they have discovered. Emotional, deep and inspiring, Lost Memoirs from the Internal World is an excellent way to look into and ponder tragedies, victories and even everyday life through the eyes of someone who has experienced plenty in a very short time.
