Author Biography

Reading has been my passion since I read my first Trixie Belden Mystery when I was in the fifth grade! After a thirty-two year career in banking I took early retirement to fulfill my dream of becoming a published author. The idea and story line for Lottie Loser was written in my head while riding bikes with my husband on the weekends, so once the retirement was official I sat down and put those thoughts into a novel.
Before Lottie was completed I realized that I wanted more than a book, I wanted a series, and the AMI Series was born! Call Me Charlotte, Book II, is currently with the publisher, and Book III, The Greysons, is being written.
I invite you to be a part of my Fairytale, as all of my dreams are having a Happy Ending.

Dana Brown’s Lottie Loser focuses on Charlotte "Lottie" Luce who is a fierce, beautiful woman with a successful career in the bag and a handsome lawyer boyfriend on her arm. Everything seems to be perfect in her life, but her perspective changes when her ex-best friend and first love, Nick Greyson, comes back to Anna Maria Island. Charlotte is reminded of her insecure self and how she had run away to Indiana to avoid her best friend who broke her heart. But now, as a new woman, she decides it’s time to face the past so she can move on and put Nick behind her. But not everything is as she thought it was and Charlotte is forced to look back and see if her decisions really were for the best.

Great pacing, a brilliant plot, amazing characters, and absolutely inspiring. Charlotte Luce evolved from shy, vulnerable Lottie into this impressive, fashionable young woman who became the first female market president in Olde Florida Bank. Someone who knows how to push for what she wants and not let anybody, not even her boyfriend, Peter, put her down. Still, she retains some of her old Lottie personality with her, like her occasional body shyness, which just made her a more realistic and appealing character. This story delves into self-discovery and it took me on a tidal wave of emotions that made me crave more with every word I read. It made me wonder what Charlotte would do next with every page turned and I cheered her on with every bad day and problem she faced. I truly felt like I was with her on her journey of relearning family, love, and forgiveness. Truly an amazing, wonderful, and fun read.
