E.W. Choate Jr.’s Marty 2 continues with Ruzo suddenly going missing. As everyone is celebrating their victory from the recent battle against a rogue blue witch and General Tusk, Marty could not help but notice the sudden absence of her best friend Ruzo, the cat. She just saw him standing by the window, having a heated conversation with an individual wearing a robe. Something felt amiss when both he and the hooded person suddenly disappear. After a thorough investigation by the kingdom’s detective, they confirm that Ruzo could be in grave danger. However, finding Ruzo is only the beginning of their worries. A new and unusual character reveals that there are more challenges they should prepare for and it is up to Marty to save everyone before it is too late.
Marty 2 by E.W. Choate Jr. is an engaging story of action and adventure. I read through the pages faster than I thought I would. I was eager to move on from every page. There were many twists that made the story even more interesting and it kept my interest right to the very end. Aside from its distinctive setting and plot, the unique characters, such as the talking animals, made the story more magical and interesting. There was also a surprising twist near the end that left me sad and heartbroken. It was unexpected and made the story end in such a bittersweet but memorable manner. Aside from the intriguing magical creatures and enchanting things that help develop the imagination, it also contained important scientific lessons, such as how the moon affects the waves or the tide level of the sea. The most important lesson I learned, however, is a moral one from this story and it is about true friendship. As the saying goes, “one loyal friend is worth more than a thousand fake ones.” The story was definitely worth the read. Great work!
