Robby Shelton has a hot temper and he gets kicked out of his football team. His girlfriend also leaves him. He tries to escape from his current situation by going to Idaho. He then ends up in the midst of a disaster that leaves him injured. Besides being injured, he is also left in the middle of nowhere. Robby tries to escape from his problems, but he finds himself trapped in a bigger problem that teaches him some valuable lessons. It leaves him wiser than before.

I enjoyed the story very much. It depicts the irresponsible behavior of boys which so common at that age. The reckless spirit and carefree ways of youngsters have been captured and narrated well by the author. The story also speaks about life lessons which the boy learns; and it is also an eye opener for young readers on how escapism is not the answer to your problems. The descriptions are detailed and crisp and that makes the story more alive. The readers can actually visualize the scenes.

The book is a kind of adventure and it is fast paced. You will not feel like putting it down until it is completed. That also says a lot about the author's skill. There is not one boring moment in the story. The other characters also add to the suspense. The narration actually leaves you worried about Robby and his safety. Will Robby manage to reach home safely? This is a nice adventure story with a message for teenagers.
