My First Day of School by Kristen Weber is a colorful and bright book that will take young readers on a journey with a little girl on her first day of school. She is looking forward to a new day at school. She wakes up early, has her breakfast and wears her new clothes. She waits for the bus and she is excited because it's her first trip by bus. She reaches school and goes to her classroom. The activities happening there bring her joy. Apart from learning how to read and write, the teacher also teaches them to sing, dance and play. Her day goes by quickly and she makes a lot of new friends in class. Her first day in school is awesome and she tells her parents what she did.
This book is a must-read for all kids starting school as it gives them an idea of what happens on their first day in school. The book clears up all their doubts and makes them more confident and ready to face their first day. The author takes readers through events in a sequential order that is explanatory and clear. The illustrations are vivid, lively and bright and complements the author's thoughts and ideas. It is a good book that can be used to prepare kids before they start their first day of school. It's a good bedtime story for parents and grandparents to read out loud to youngsters.
