The little kitten was sad and lonely. He sat quivering on the curb, trying to find the scent of his mother, brothers, and sister. He sensed footsteps coming near him and heard voices. His mother, brothers, and sister ran away when they heard footsteps. The footsteps were getting closer and he knew he had to get away. He jumped off the curb and ran, and he could hear the footsteps and voices following him. Finally the tiny little kitten stopped and he could hear footfalls. Two warm hands gathered him and held him close, and they took him inside. When they cleaned his eyes, they saw that he had no eyes. They took him to the vet who confirmed that the little kitten was blind, and he said he knew a girl who worked in his office who already had two rescue cats. Would the little kitten like his new home?
