Positioned For Power (The Working Woman's Guide to Thriving In Life) by Angeline Lawrence is a non-fiction Christian inspirational book that would appeal most to a mixed female audience of adults and young adults. According to The Workplace Bullying Institute, over thirty-six million American workers experience workplace bulling every day! Angeline Lawrence shares her own journey in recognizing and overcoming her own workplace bully, as well as the techniques and strategies anyone can use to overcome such adversity in the workplace. In this book, she teaches women how to overcome their own weaknesses, identify their strengths, develop a prayer life, and about the godly power of prayer.
Positioned For Power (The Working Woman's Guide to Thriving In Life) by Angeline Lawrence was a very informative and inspirational book. I had no idea how many people face bullying at work and I now feel blessed that I have not yet had to deal with such a bully at my place of work. However, after realizing how easily bullying can happen to anyone, I decided to study all of the advice and techniques in this book so that if I ever encounter a work place bully, I will be prepared. I liked the fact that Angeline Lawrence did not write a dry, boring book about combating the workplace bully, but instead made the book interesting through sharing her own experiences. Her story is what really drove the point home to me about the reality of workplace bullying. Overall, I feel better prepared for my future in a work environment and I am very glad that I was able to learn about this topic from a knowledgeable source.
