Author Biography

Marlo is a Canadian girl, fond of the rolling prairies and majestic mountains close to her city home. And, of course, hockey, maple syrup and saying ‘eh.’ Working in healthcare for over a decade, Marlo believes that laughter is the best medicine and tries to put it to good use in her writing and at work.

In Raincheck by Marlo Lanz, when Liv decided to join Gabe for his four month band tour, all she was looking forward to was hanging out with her best friend, having lots of fun on the road, and a chance to work on her thesis. The last thing she expected was to fall for an annoying lead singer of the main band. Yet here she was, stuck in the middle of an impossible situation. With Gabe's feelings seeming to have evolved from best friends to more than just friends, Liv has to choose between a really nice guy she loves and a jerk she is in love with. Will she give Gabe a chance to turn their friendship into more or will Ty prove that he is not the jerk she thinks him to be? What will all this mean for the tour?

Nothing spices up a romance read like a love triangle, even when said triangle is not exactly what it is portrayed to be. Raincheck by Marlo Lanz has all the ingredients for a thrilling romance read; secrets, passion, steamy scenes, drama and lots of tension, all set on the road in the middle of a band tour. With the band tour forming the setting for the drama, a lot can go wrong when friendships are tested and feelings are hurt. The tension and drama will keep you glued to the pages until the very last word. Marlo Lanz has put together an incredible read and lovers of romance blended with intricate character relationships will definitely love it.

In Raincheck by Marlo Lanz, readers are introduced to Ty Benson who is fed up with women and female attention. As the singer of the rock band Raincheck, Ty Benson is used to female attention, but he is slowly getting tired of all that and wants to stay away from women. Then he runs into Liv Madison, who is busy working on her Master’s thesis. Her good friend Gabe’s band, Diesel, is opening for Raincheck’s North American Summer Tour and he thinks Raincheck is THE band out there. She is tagging along with Gabe and her first encounter with Ty Benson is a disaster. He finds Liv attractive and, though he is trying to keep away from her, he finds it hard to do that. Will Ty Benson be able to stay away from Liv and will his interest in her ruin her friendship with Gabe?

The story captures the attention of readers with its pace, movement, and sexual situations. The interactions between the characters in the bands, Diesel and Raincheck, are interesting and entertaining and will take readers right into the scenes. The romantic scenes have a rawness and urgency in them with some sexual undertones that will leave readers looking forward to more passion from the lead characters. All the characters have been developed well as they complement each other and make it a good love story. The author weaves in feelings of hopelessness, nervousness, excitement, romantic suspense, and sensuality, making the characters relatable by exposing their strengths and weaknesses in a realistic way.
