There is almost always a schism of difference between what we see and what is out there. Is perception reality? If not, what is reality? Uncover the secrets to understanding the problems in your life and the way perception skews how we view the world in Reflect: A Perspective on Understanding Your Reality and Becoming Unstuck by Maria Lizza Bowen. You will learn about the four types of reality: personal, consensus, ontological, and phenomenological. Identify negative patterns and behaviors that stop you from reaching your full potential, learn to accept your vulnerabilities and acknowledge your past mistakes, negate bad choices, understand the role of personal responsibility when dealing with pain, find constructive ways to navigate negative thoughts and feelings, realize when your perception of any given situation is distorted, and your anger is misplaced, and much more.

Reflect will help you nurture self-confidence and develop a realistic self-perception that allows you to face the world without negative patterns and behaviors bringing you down. It also offers the tools to reduce stress through better coping strategies. Maria Lizza Bowen provides readers with an in-depth analysis of reality, perception, and truth and how each relates to the other and impacts our lives and our view of the world. Using personal anecdotes and examples, Bowen gives valuable insights into our shortcomings and limitations that hinder us from looking at the whole picture and showcases how we can rise above those challenges to live a life full of purpose and meaning. This is a self-help handbook that forces you to introspect. Overall, I found Reflect to be an inspiring reminder of how our perceptions can create our reality. Highly recommended.
