Resilience: A Different Kind of Strong by Jenn Henry truly is an inspirational book aimed at helping readers create the lives they dream of. As a teenager, Jenn was diagnosed with bipolar-manic depression. Jenn was arrested for drug possession and stolen property, and after being released from The California Institute for Women State Correctional Facility, joined a treatment program called New Hope. While competing in a fitness competition, Jenn came to the realization that her priorities were not aimed at the life she wanted for herself. Through hard work and determination, Jenn turned her life around and made the decision to help others who find themselves in situations that make them unhappy.
Author Jenn Henry has created one of the best self-help books on the market. Resilience is a practical guide that includes valuable information such as The Freedom Framework – Connection, Alignment, Balance, Boundaries, Authenticity, and Accountability plus The Basic Five – Health, Relationships, Career, Finances, and Spiritual Connection. Jenn instructs the reader on how to breathe correctly. She also emphasizes the importance of diet, exercise, meditation, gardening, and journaling. She also includes questions to help the reader pause and reflect on their current and future reality as well as references for further reading. If Jenn can move on from being a homeless, self-loathing addict, then anyone can improve their lives. Resilience: A Different Kind of Strong is a must-read for anyone seeking to live a life filled with happiness, abundance, health, and success. I most enjoyed the style in which the book is written, easy to read and understand. “You are the creator of your experience.”
