Restoration is a dystopian sci-fi novel that showcases a bleak future of planet Earth due to the devastating impact of climate change. Co-authored by Sam Bradbury, Natalia Junqueira, and Robin LeeAnn, the story is set in a dystopian future where the ice caps have melted, the air is almost unbreathable, and half the population has been put into displacement camps. The other half lives in stabilized lands where genetically modified crops and yield keep the people fed and under control. When a young student named Lotus stumbles upon the destruction of a valley, she is determined to shed light on the matter, only for her to end up a victim. Another student, Percy Nex, works on a theory called Restoration to save Earth's dwindling ecosystems. But the solution may lead to devastating consequences.
Sam Bradbury, Natalia Junqueira, and Robin LeeAnn craft a gripping sci-fi thriller set in a futuristic dystopia where human impact on the planet has become almost irreversible, leading to desperate measures for the survival of the human race at an unfathomable price. Restoration is a wake-up call to the alarming rate at which human behavior has been destroying the planet's ecosystem, and it's only a matter of time before it crosses the point of no return. The authors use a multiple POV narrative with a large cast of characters from a wide array of fields, including idealistic students, corrupt politicians, and greedy corporations. Books like Restoration couldn't be more relevant for the times we live in. Highly recommended.
