Revelation (The Globur Incursion Book 10) by D. Rebbitt delivers a commanding and emotionally resonant finale to a long-running science fiction series about interstellar war and the secrets that shape us. We find ourselves in a timeline years after the Globur were pushed back from the edges of human space, and our good old retired war hero John Forest is once again at the center of a galaxy-wide crisis. With new Globur weapons surfacing and political schemes threatening humanity from within, Admiral Jones enlists Forest in one final mission to uncover the truth behind the aliens’ return. As old betrayals resurface and questions about Forest’s own identity take center stage, the novel builds to a conclusion that is both thrilling and philosophical.
Author D. Rebbitt has been keeping me on the hook with this series for a long time now, and he knows exactly how to bring a long arc to a satisfying close. I was struck by how seamlessly the story blends large-scale battles with intimate, personal reckonings. Forest’s role in the war has always been deliciously complicated, and the revelations in this final chapter give his journey new depths that you wouldn't think possible after so many books, but I am still learning more about him. There is real emotional payoff in seeing loose threads tied and secrets laid bare. The military strategy remains razor-sharp, but the heart of the story lies in loyalty, memory, and the struggle to define one’s legacy. Overall, Revelation is a masterful and rewarding conclusion to a saga that has explored the cost of war, the power of identity, and what it means to fight for truth. As always, I highly recommend both the series and the author to science fiction fans.
