I love self-improvement guides written by authors with life experience and this is a great example of a well-researched guide to life improvement skills. Secrets To Being Amazing by Denise Wijayaratne teaches you many pearls of wisdom that are so simple but are common sense. I found myself nodding in agreement throughout. What makes this guide different is it tackles the subject of confidence from both sides of the spectrum, from those who have little confidence in their abilities to those who have blinkers on when it comes to taking responsibility for their behavior. I loved the references to society's behavior on social media. I think many people will recognize themselves. The Amazing Keys throughout will definitely make you pause for thought, especially number 21, taking the word 'should' out of your vocabulary, and number 22, keeping a journal to help you view situations from different perspectives. I recognized a lot of negative behavior in myself from reading this. If you want to get the most from this guide then you have to be open to new ideas and willing to be honest about your mindset and actions. This is a guide that you will definitely want to keep close at hand so you can refer to it in times of self-doubt.
