In Someone To Come Home To (Uncut Edition) by Zanne Sweeney, Karen Sue Murphy is placed in witness protection after witnessing a horrible crime involving her soon-to-be ex-husband. Now using the name Kit Taylor, she tries to make a life for herself in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. With her own business and meeting the man of her dreams, firefighter Jess Ryan, things are finally starting to look up for Kit. Kit and Jess find themselves falling hard for one another, but with both of their pasts haunting them, will they be able to move on and find happiness? Different circumstances and situations put both Kit and Jess in danger, which may negatively impact their new budding romance.
I have become quite a big fan of Zanne Sweeney this past year, and she certainly didn’t disappoint in her latest novel. What I enjoyed the most about this one was the added intrigue to the plot. It wasn’t just a typical romance story. There were parts that had me on the edge of my seat, which was surprising yet entertaining. Even though Kit wasn’t always my favorite character and I wanted to slap her at times, her relationship with Jess was touching and had me smiling throughout the book. With its heartwarming, suspenseful plot and hot, sexy scenes, Someone To Come Home To will definitely reel you in and not let go until the very end. Zanne Sweeney is such a great writer and that is evident in this story, as well as her others.
