Soul Compass: A Female Entrepreneur’s Guide to Navigating Past Self-Doubt and Fear by Livia Jenvey is a non-fiction business book for female entrepreneurs. She shares a simple five-step program to connect you with your soul compass or inner intuition. The author uses her own stories and her clients' stories to help explain things. The book contains lots of exercises and tools to help you accomplish your goals, like getting rid of fear. The author uses tips and quotes too.
I thought that Soul Compass by Livia Jenvey was a real eye-opener. I really loved doing the exercises the author included. I have two new favorite words, shero and sologamy, thanks to Livia Jenvey. The me-rriage idea was so unique, I just loved that idea. I appreciated how the author suggested seeing a psychologist if needed; that was refreshing. I loved how this book isn't 'woo-woo' like some of these are because I admit I was a bit worried about that. I loved that she had a link to the Amy Schumer video, but maybe readers should employ extra caution; it could be a bit jarring. I loved that Livia gave bonus exercises at the end, especially the breathing ones. I appreciated the quotes by Jen Cincero who is one of my favorites. All the extra book suggestions were great too, and I have actually read a lot of them. If you are a woman wanting to start a business or be a freelancer, this book is an absolute must-read.
