Strange Skies is a comic novel authored and illustrated by Iqbal Hussain Ali, a breathtaking story of non-stop thrills and bizarre moments of a lost passenger airplane in an inexplicable space, loaded with frightened and panicked shoe-less passengers who blame one another for the ongoing situation. Gruesome perceptions and incidents make them realize they are far from home, trapped in the infinite skies with no control over their plane or even fate. Catherine, a loyal flight attendant, and the air marshal try to take control. However, Carl, Catherine's lover who impregnated her, stops her through diverse situations without solving any problem. Passengers experience numerous incidents: eyeless dead passengers, hallucinations, and shadow figures. The plane is out of control and prayers seem pointless. A hand approaches from nowhere in the space, trying to invite panicked passengers to a new world where they will be treated respectably. Is this a new civilization or an old one trying to communicate through time and space?
Iqbal Hussain Ali delivers his passion in his book, Strange Skies, inducing thrills and terrifying images of life with a chain of events that make us get to know each other and our universe. Readers may become paralyzed with fear while reading this book since it is written so well they will feel they are experiencing the scenes with the well-defined characters. Iqbal Ali visualizes the scenes, accompanying his characters with beautiful illustrations. Strange Skies truly inspired me for my books in the future. Enjoy the experience of Catherine and a doomed plane in the middle of nowhere.
