Krik Scroggs' book, Tales of a Sixth-Grade Muppet, is sure to delight young readers! Danvers feels like a misfit...beginning with his name, to the embarrassing accidents that happen when he's around, to his Gonzo obsession, to coping with his little sister. With his sidekick and best friend Pasquale, Danvers is trying to navigate his way through sixth-grade as best he can. Many people have wished they could be someone else; one night Danvers wishes this when he goes to bed, and when he wakes up, he has become a Muppet. Trying to hide this metamorphosis from his family, teacher and peers does not go as he hoped it would, and from that moment on, Danvers' life is changed: no longer is he merely a misfit!

This book is written in a style very similar to the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series, as it is from Danvers' point of view, and there are drawings and cartoons interspersed throughout the story. It is a great story for children approaching the teenage and middle school years, as this is a difficult age for many as they are discovering who they are and where they fit in their world. It is written from a child's point of view and filled with clean humor!
