Talking Tales: A Llama Stole My Flashlight by Erica Graham is a fun and educational picture book for young children. A young girl named Molly is getting ready for a camping trip with her Uncle Leon. Whilst checking things off the list, Uncle Leon notices Molly's flashlight is missing and asks her to go fetch it. Molly knows exactly where her flashlight went and is reluctant to tell her uncle. Eventually, Molly works up the courage to tell him, and he reacts just as she thought he would; he didn't believe her outrageous explanation and accuses her of lying. Molly tries and tries to get her uncle to believe her. Will she succeed? And where did the flashlight go? Find out in Talking Tales: A Llama Stole My Flashlight.
Talking Tales: A Llama Stole My Flashlight is an incredibly fun book to read. Children are going to love every page of Erica Graham's book as much as I did. The story is silly and fun but it is also educational as it teaches children about sounds. Erica has written many books, each focusing on a different letter. This book centers on the letter "L". The illustrations are creative, and colorful, and fit perfectly within the story. My favorite was the Llama; it's adorable! I hope I get the pleasure of reading more of Erica's work in the future. I'd love to know where Uncle Leon's blue sunglasses went! Congrats on the book, Erica. I know children will laugh their socks off!
