Taming Romeo by Rachelle Ayala is a story about fighting for who you want and making love your first priority. Evie Sanchez wants to become a doctor, but she is in love with Romeo. She is given an opportunity that she cannot pass up, but that means she will have to choose between her love and her dream. She chooses her dream, believing that she will find love somewhere else, but she was mistaken. Not surprisingly, she meets a charmer at college and soon they are engaged. But when he breaks it off, Evie is left floundering.
After a really bad semester, she decides to take a break and come back home. Little did she know that her true love, Romeo, would be waiting for her with open arms! Romeo is now a big movie star and has the best of everything. But his life is missing something: Evie. She is the true love of his life and when she comes back home, Romeo is determined to make her his once again. However, this time he will make sure that she will not choose anything over him. He will be everything she needs and desires. Can Evie trust Romeo and his feelings? Can she really trust that he is not exacting revenge for breaking his heart or are they really going to mend their bond?
Yes, this is the light hearted romance that we all crave in our lives. Rachelle Ayala beautifully portrayed the dilemma of choosing between two good things. Romeo is delicious, he is not only handsome, but he is also loving, caring, encouraging and pure of heart. I really, really loved him. Evie was a little difficult for me to love. By the end of the novel, I understood her desire to become a doctor, but when life gives you candy, you snatch, and you don’t leave it for someone else to take! The novel was perfect and I truly enjoyed it. Five stars!
