The Best of You: A Romantic Comedy is the 8th book in the Oceanic Dreams series by Sophie-Leigh Robbins. Holly is not looking for love; she is looking for anything that will get her away from a cheating ex and give her something else to think about. So when she heard about a cruise to the Caribbean, she knew that this would be her chance to get away from her life. She was expecting sunny days, good company and great food, but she was not expecting Noah. He is nursing a broken heart after he was dumped on his wedding day and he was forced on this cruise by his family so that he would stop moping around. However, neither of them is ready to feel the sparks they did in each other’s company. There is something between that begs to be explored, but both of them are a little hesitant to take the plunge. Who will take the first step?
Fresh, original and exceptionally well-written, this is a series that I would love to explore. Noah and Holly make the perfect couple, both a little hesitant yet so perfect for each other. The chemistry between the two was off the charts and I love the fact that the author started their relationship as friends. Their relationship developed over time because the author gave them time to explore each other before making any decision. How she did in so few pages is beyond me, but she has done an incredible job. I loved the flow, the narrative, the character development and the affection between Holly and Noah! This is perfect entertainment!
