Although some dreams may seem difficult to achieve, with effort and persistence, any goal is possible. The key is to maintain interest and explore different solutions. The Cloud Chasing Koala by Suduhita Mitra teaches children the value of resilience. Koko, the koala, dreams of flying. She watches the birds and longs to reach the sky but doesn't know how. So, she goes to her mother, who tries to help by showing her tall trees for a great view. However, that's not enough. The little koala wants the full experience. Her mom suggests talking to friends and other animals, thinking that different perspectives might offer a solution. Koko then tries several options until she reaches her goal.
Suduhita Mitra writes charmingly, with a rhythmic style and funny sentences. The narration is detailed and will allow children to enrich their vocabulary. The plot is original and introduces the characteristics and abilities of various animals naturally. I found Koko to be delightful because of her friendly and cheerful nature. She tries everything without getting discouraged, taking every opportunity to try something new. She shows us the importance of using curiosity to solve problems and understands that although challenges and failures can be frustrating, every experience brings you closer to your dreams. In addition, the story highlights the value of friendship and family support because the help of others makes all the difference. The illustrations are gorgeous, with various fun scenarios and situations. The Cloud Chasing Koala is an adventure that celebrates creativity and perseverance.
