After thirty-six years of serving in the Philadelphia Police Force, Andrew Wolcott Ransunski is appointed chief of the police department in Endora, Pennsylvania, having moved there four years back in search of a slower paced and quieter life. Unfortunately, crime seems to have followed him there too. A desperate and determined murderer is on the loose. Three people have already lost their lives at the hands of this ruthless criminal. From drug dealing, kidnapping, raping, to killing, the murderer will stop at nothing. Faith Haleow, a prominent businesswoman working in her father’s company, Haleow Enterprises, finds herself caught up in everything that is happening. She is determined to find out who wants to see her brother dead and why. The Endora Murders by Michelle J. Ciesielka follows Faith Haleow and Chief Ransunski in their effort to stop the person behind the killings. None of them, however, seems to have anticipated what was to unfold as the case becomes larger by the day, sucking in more and more people.
It is difficult to believe that The Endora Murders is Michelle J. Ciesielka’s first book. The plot is so captivating and well executed. What seems to be just another murder case about to be solved takes unforeseen turns that surprised me and kept me turning the pages. From the beginning, I admired Ciesielka’s ability to introduce suspenseful twists in the story every time I thought I had figured out the story line. She also introduces just the right number of characters into the plot. All the key characters are well-created and fit into the story line brilliantly. Ciesielka also develops the story thoughtfully, only introducing information that is relevant to the overall plot. The Endora Murders by Michelle J. Ciesielka is definitely a great book and will captivate any fan of mystery and murder stories.
