The Grand Adventures of Henry Little by Greg Evans is a clever children's science fiction story. Henry Little flies to a magical realm called Ytilaernu using a vacuum cleaner he finds in the closet. Apparently, traveling through space is done quite regularly as long as the user can master the use of imagination. In Ytilaernu, a scientist has discovered a way to control that imagination, making traveling through space easier to accomplish. The Golthus Emperor of Darkness captures the scientist because he wants the power of travel so the Golthus can take over the entire world through space travel. Henry, discovering that he is a Prince, uses his powers of imagination to travel on a difficult and dangerous journey to save the scientist and the realm of Ytilaernu before the Golthus take over and ruin it all. Will he succeed?

I really liked all of the minor characters in this story, the friends and antagonists that Henry met along the way on his journey to save the scientist. There was the parakeet that talked in circles and bossed Henry around, the giant that lived in a black hole that would suck you in and spit you out in another planet, a drooling green toad with golden eyes and green specks, giant lady bugs that lived in an adjacent land, giant killer cats, and a gaggle of trick playing witches. Readers will enjoy the depth of setting in this story as well as they follow Henry on his beautiful and interesting journey.
