The Haunted Purse is a captivating tale full of mystery, suspense, and intrigue. At its core, it's a sleuth mystery with a dash of the supernatural. Author Kimberly Baer weaves a mesmerizing narrative that draws you in from the first page, with an absorbing plot that delivers twists and turns you never see coming, keeping you engaged until the last page. However, the protagonist and her characterization truly made me appreciate this book. Libby is a fascinating character. She is easy to like and even easier to root for. Baer absolutely shines at portraying the different relationship dynamics with Libby, her friends, family, and the other adults in her life. I also loved the ending and found it immensely satisfying. If you're looking for a compelling paranormal mystery with layered characters, this is the book for you.
