The Nephilim's Fate is a work of fiction in the paranormal romance and adventure subgenres, and it forms the first book of the War of the Nephilim series. The work is best suited to the mature reading audience owing to explicit sexual scenes, paranormal fantasy violence, and the use of graphic language throughout. Penned by Eliza Hampstead, this thrilling romance kicks off as we are introduced to the Nephilim, a race of creatures born from the union of angels and humankind. Our protagonist Alissia is a witch, and she knows it’s wrong on all levels for her to be with a Nephilim, but there’s something about Nate that she just can’t stay away from. So begins a dangerous journey that sparks a chain of cataclysmic events as the pair battles for the freedom to love one another.

Eliza Hampstead offers a spicy and steamy paranormal romance that also has so much more than a reader would expect at the outset. Alissia and Nate’s hot romance takes center stage with many exciting scenes and intimate dialogue. The backdrop of a magical world operating secretly in modern-day London is a well-realized fantasy setting all of its own. I was fascinated by Hampstead’s take on different fantasy creatures and races and how they might intermingle. The wider ensemble cast that walks in the shadows of humanity was so interesting to read about that I hope they will feature even more as the series progresses. Alissia is a strong heroine with a lot of fight and a deep conviction in her purpose as a witch. She also goes on a fantastic journey of independence and getting what she wants from her life, which was truly empowering. I would recommend The Nephilim's Fate to paranormal romance fans everywhere as a strong start to what promises to be an enticing and inventive new series.

Eliza Hampstead’s The Nephilim’s Fate is the first book in the War of the Nephilim Series. Alissia Parker keeps dreaming of the perfect man, but in her dreams, she never sees his face. She wears a symbol on a necklace she received from Charlie, and the man also has the symbol tattooed on his back. Alissia runs into Nate, her dream lover, and is elated. He recognizes her and tells her they cannot be together. Alissia was shocked when he called her a witch. Nate realizes she doesn’t know magical beings exist. He tells her he is a Nephilim, and if they are intimate, they will die. Alissia meets her coven to learn about her abilities. She isn’t about to give up Nate because meeting him had to be fate.

Eliza Hampstead merged passion, discovery, and impossible odds into this romance story. I admired Alissia’s determination to find a way to be with Nate. It was genius how she used science to solve a problem involving magic. I also found it cute when the young witches taught Alissia how to tap into her magic. The vivid description of Nate’s wings made me envision their amazing strength. I would have wanted to touch them too. The scenery was given the same amount of attention. There is never a moment that I can’t picture. I disliked Asasel because of his militant control over the Nephilim Brotherhood. However, Laura, Asasel’s wife, and Betty, Alissia’s mother, were the epitome of what I would want my grandparents to be. In the viewpoint transition between Aiissia and Nate, it was easy to see how each of them felt about their relationships and the choices they ultimately have to face. I recommend Nephilim’s Fate to fantasy romance readers who enjoy a detailed story of forbidden love.

The Nephilim's Fate is the first book in the paranormal series, War of the Nephilim, written by Eliza Hampstead. Alissia Parker is a 25-year-old scientist who was adopted as a baby. For the past seven years, she has had nightly dreams of a man who makes love to her passionately and completely, but whom she has never met. After being invited to a bar called The Wicked Heaven by her best friend, Charlie, Alissia is accosted by vampires. At the bar, she also spots the man from her dreams and begs him for help. This is also the night that Alissia learns of the different species and that she is a witch. The man she had dreamed of, Nat (Nathaniel), is a Nephilim who had also dreamed of Alissia since the day he had been initiated into The Brotherhood. When they conceive a child against all odds, all hell breaks loose.

Eliza Hampstead's incredible first installment in War of the Nephilim was most definitely a page-turner from start to finish. Alissia's incredibly passionate dreams of a stranger she had never met were mesmerizing. I loved being able to see the paranormal world through innocent eyes (such as Alissia's), as she stepped into a world she had never thought possible to exist. As the pair's romance blossoms, Alissia and Nate learn of their birth parents while delving into the archives and history books. A war between good and evil was coming and I was left yearning to read the second book in the series just as it had begun. I feel that lovers of the occult, Pagans, and fans of the paranormal will love this series and will be on the edge of their seats by the end of reading Book 1. The Nephilim's Fate is my new favorite series and I look forward to what Eliza Hampstead brings to the table next.

"With a cinematic writing style and surprising plot twists, Hampstead gives free rein to her imagination and fascinates the reader with her original take on the supernatural, mixed with a good number of steamy scenes. Combining a memorable set of characters, fast-paced battles, and a heavy romance, The Nephilim's Fate blends fantasy with erotica in a way that challenges the boundaries of love, pleasure, and magic itself. Delightfully sensuous and gripping, the novel can satisfy the reader looking for a charismatic, sexually charged fantasy with a dark edge and an epic feel. With more books to come, this is an incredibly strong start to a new romantic fantasy series." SPR, ★★★★★

Intriga

A fantasy romance story with steam and spice. This story has action, adventure, thrills, a forbidden romance, and did I mention plenty of steam? Not my usual genre, but the more and more I venture in this genre I am enjoying the ride. Exciting storytelling.

AWE MAN, WOW!! I could hardly stop reading this exciting book. I loved everything about Alissia before I knew that she was a witch, but she saw strange things and for seven years she had dreamed of a man who made love to her every night even though she never saw his face. I loved Nate. a Nephilim who also had dreams of Alissia but he never saw her face. The impossible happens and a war starts between the Vampires, the Fae, the Jackals, the Hell hounds, the Demons, the Shadow Demons, and the Nephilim!!

This is a really great book with so many layers that you will need to work your way through to get the the crux of the story but believe me it is well-worth it because the story is one that will keep you enthralled from start to finish with fabulous characters who will have you wholly invested in the journey that they take and at the end the author leaves you desperate for more.

I voluntarily read an advanced copy of this book from arc and this is my unbiased review. If you are looking for something magical and a bit different than this is the book for you. Be warned it ends on a cliffhanger but the romance is hot. The story grabs you right away and there is plenty of plot twists and more.

Very quick moving paranormal romance. The author quickly set the backstory for the characters and did some world building. Not a lot of fluff and boring parts of this book. Almost seemed a little rushed. Paranormal world with fae, vampires, witches and obviously nephilim. My only complaint is the cliff hanger ending means I need to wait for the next book.

An gripping tale of the how an impossible love in a supernatural world drags them both into a war that threatens to destroy the whole fabric of the paranormal underground society. Very exciting to read, and re-read next time you need some inspiration. The characters are well developed and quite unique in their personalities. The love scenes are steamy without ever getting vulgar. The plot never becomes predictable and the dialog stays witty throughout the book. Can't wait for the author to publish her next book.

First off, it is a bit of a cliffhanger and I couldn't find a book two so I am guessing it has not been released yet (as of 12/29/22). OK now the book was well written I spotted a couple of type errors but nothing significant to the flow of the story, any avid reader would breeze right by without a care. The characters were very interesting and I enjoyed the various personalities, it made for great comic relief at times. Some emotional scenes, some explicit scenes and possible mild trigger scene. The action was great, I always love a little action in these types of stories. I am curious to see if and how this story might continue. I would recommend this book for any who is content with a book leaving you a curious.
