The Peacock Who Wanted To Be A Pig: A Children's Picture Book on Hard Work and Determination (WantsToBe 4) by Valerie Harmon is another book in her series of animals who are not really happy about who they are and who would like to become something else. In this picture book, a peacock is not very happy about its tail. It is so heavy, gets dirty all the time, and it's such a hassle to drag it around! When the peacock sees the little tail of a pig, he wants to become a pig. All his troubles with his tail would be gone if only he could be a pig. Turning into a pig isn't that easy though. The poor peacock has to go through quite an ordeal. But will it all pay off in the end?
The Peacock Who Wanted To Be A Pig by Valerie Harmon is just as entertaining and inspiring for kids as the other books in the series. The illustrations are charming and funny, and the words that accompany them make this picture book a very worthwhile investment for parents who would like their children to learn about the importance of determination. The books in the series deal with different problems we all have to face in our lives - and the sooner we learn to find a way to deal with them, the better. It's great that these books can give kids knowledge like this, and they do so in a very entertaining way.
