The Perfect Storm: Poetry Lobby by Louis Willie Thomas JR is a collection of poems mostly about the prevailing conditions in present society. The poet shares his thoughts on various other topics in a very simple way and his strophes make an impact on readers effectively. The powerful and inspirational voice of the poet makes this a very interesting read and also gets readers pondering and reflecting on his words. All the poems in the collection have good movement, rhythm and spacing. The poet's thoughts are easily relatable and the poems are imaginative and have good depth.
The poet's sentiments resonate well with readers. Each poem handles a different thought and feeling, and the poet does an excellent job in conveying them well to readers. The poem 'Carefree' captures the joys of being young while in 'Hard Life' the poet looks at the harshness of life. In 'Alone' the poet has managed to convey loneliness very nicely in simple lines, but stark images. The poems are well delivered with powerful endings and the tone is worth remembering. The images and thoughts are beautiful in every poem and they stay in one's mind. The style of writing is simple, unapologetic and elegant. The poet shares his honest views in a compelling manner.
