Blood of Time by Scott Swisher is the second book in the Ring Fold Chronicles, taking its already high-stakes time-travel premise to new heights. We're with rogue agent Darren Kraus, who returns with a new breed of weaponized time travelers. Jordan and the members of the Ring are pushed to their limits in an adrenaline-fueled drama where time is of the essence. Betrayals ripple across centuries, alliances shift, and the lines between past, present, and future blur dangerously. Jordan’s evolving powers make her both a target and a key to survival, but with new truths surfacing about her origins, the danger becomes personal. The narrative vaults across timelines, blending pulse-pounding action with quiet, emotional revelations that deepen the series' impact.

Author Scott Swisher brings to life an ambitious, cinematic story that’s as intelligent as it is exciting. I loved how the time-travel mechanics were more than just cool plot devices, because they had real emotional and moral consequences, and were naturally worked into the plot. Jordan’s growth also felt grounded and believable, even as the stakes went cosmic, and that's thanks to the close narration around his speech and thought presentation. And the twists hit hard, with every new layer of the story expanding the world in a way that felt earned. This isn’t just about saving the timeline, but about understanding identity, loyalty, and sacrifice in a world where every choice has echoes. Overall, Blood of Time is a thrilling and emotionally resonant continuation that fans of high-concept sci-fi will absolutely devour, and I would not hesitate to recommend it.
