"The Satyr's Curse" is very interesting. The moment I started it, I got hooked. I read and never left my seat just to make sure my focus would not break. As I read the story, I left the real world and got into this world which is the same as ours but not everything is what it seems. That is how magical it is. The atmosphere and the feeling is honed to perfection to match the mood that is being given off by the story. The characters suit the time and place perfectly. The characters themselves are really ideal for the setting. They are as imperfect as we are but not overtly so to make us think of them as really phony. Alexandra Weis is able to merge the magical aspect, too, without making it look ridiculous. I feel that everything in the story is just right even if there are a lot of different aspects presented in it. Until the end, I was glued to my seat in anticipation, holding my breath and wondering what would happen in the second installment. This book is one to watch out for.
