A genuine spiritual journey begins when we commit ourselves and strive to improve as individuals. It is not necessary to abandon our ordinary life or our responsibilities. Instead, we can advance in our lives despite difficulties while we act with faith and a good disposition. We have The Sojourner's Road Home: A 40-Day Journey to the Heart of God to achieve this inner development. Kelly Mack McCoy guides us through a chapter for each day, where he shares a different teaching to reflect on. The information is varied, based on historical data, biblical passages, and anecdotes. McCoy understands that sometimes we can feel lost and lonely, even deviate from our course. For this reason, he shows us how to stay sober and attentive to strengthen our bond with God.
I liked The Sojourner's Road Home as each lesson is unique and valuable. Kelly Mack McCoy refers to values such as patience and trust in oneself and others. One of the points I liked the most was when he talked about friendship. Sometimes you may think that following the path is individual, but having companions is helpful because they support you in difficult times and accompany you in your achievements. We are here to help and collaborate even if people have different interests. This bond between people is essential. But McCoy also talks about other ideas, such as praying and meditating. He values the inner and outer work of the individual equally. That is why his words will help you to improve your stay in this world and to rediscover your purpose.
