The Teacher and the Salesman: A Communication Reference Guide for Delivering Engaging and Informative Discussions Using the POETIC Framework by Mohibul Nahar is an engaging book that speaks about making communication effective and delivering an interesting discussion. We need to improve our communication methods so that we can deliver our messages more clearly. This book is a good guide that enables one to reach people in daily conversations, and gives an effective framework to hold the audience’s attention by delivering the content in an efficient way. The art of engaging audiences is truly an art and the author incorporates his years of experience in sharing excellent techniques and strategies that will enhance the lives of readers.

The topic covered in the book in relevant and useful and not much written about, which makes the book honest and authentic. The POETIC Framework, as the author names it, includes Preparation, Outline, Engage, Trust, Interest, Challenge. The author handles the topic effectively and methodically, making it easy for readers to understand and incorporate his tips to improve their communication skills. I find the art of engaging audiences quite interesting and the author has done a great job. This book is helpful when it comes to analyzing what needs to be changed to make communication more effective and interesting. Readers can try implementing these methods over time and observe their engagement with their audience. This well organized manual is a good reference for all those who are involved in giving speeches and sharing information in classrooms, presentations, and meetings.
