The Travelling Turtle's First Adventure (The Travelling Turtle's Adventures) by Bianca Vickers is an adventurous and educational picture book for young children. One day, Turtle and Robin are having a polite conversation. Turtle explains that he doesn't know what to do with himself. Robin suggests he go and find a new adventure, then return to tell him all about it. Turtle heads off on his quest, where he first meets a bee who tells him about his job of pollinating, then he meets some ants and a ladybug who all have something useful and wise for Turtle to learn. After visiting lots of places and meeting different animals, Turtle returns home to Robin and tells him everything he has discovered from each of them. Would you like to find out what Turtle learned? The Travelling Turtle's First Adventure is jam-packed with adventure and knowledge. Children are going to learn a lot from this incredibly informative book by the talented Bianca Vickers. She has included many important lessons for children to pick up on. From learning what animals do for the planet to hearing wise words from them, the reader will be left knowing more than they did before. To make the book even better, Bianca has written her story using rhyme, which will enable children to enjoy her words even more. I can't recommend this book enough and urge anyone with children to buy a copy. You won't be disappointed!
