In The Yippy Zippy Zoo by Matthew T. Veibell, it's time for a visit to the Yippy Zippy Zoo, where all the animals are completely different from what you expect. The Pretty Witty Walrus tells jokes all day long, while the Sticky Licky Lion has a thing for lollipops. See the Tighty Whitey Toucan, the Hissy Kissy Cobra, the Polar Pilot Penguin, and many more, and can you guess what makes them so special? Don't forget to take a break for some fluffy, puffy popcorn halfway through your visit! The illustrations by Maggie Lightheart are amazing, full of color, and so realistic, and they bring out the best in this funny tale of the Yippy Zippy Zoo, a place where animals are themselves in all their glory, and they are not afraid to be who they are.

The Yippy Zippy Zoo by Matthew T. Veibell is a tale that will make kids laugh. Veibell has a wonderful imagination and has written a rhyming book that kids will find easy to follow. There are lots of age-appropriate jokes throughout and plenty of examples of alliteration. The story is written in such a way that it will keep kids' attention, and they'll want to read it again. As a fun exercise, kids are also encouraged to search for the bee hidden on every page, a good exercise to help hone their powers of observation. But as well as being a fun tale, it also teaches kids to be who they are and not try to be something they aren't. Real happiness lies in being true to themselves, and this is a great way to teach them that. I loved this story, and caregivers will love reading it as much as kids will love hearing it.
