Thoughts of Life and Love by Greg Moreland is a collection of poems ranging in creativity and stemming from a seed of emotions. It is filled with two volumes of originality. In one of the illustrations the author paints a picture of ethnicity to justify and drive home the nature of the poem entitled, "I HAD A BAD DAY/DWB."
This theme is vividly seen throughout other expressions in various ways. The rhyming scheme is easy to follow and flows within its own unique rhythm. He also expresses deep gratitude for mothers in a few of his poems. The creativity toggles from songs to poetry in a exclusive way. Some are more emotionally driven than others. The impact of word choice is seen clearly as one who stands on the sea shore, watching the sunrise. You can feel the impression of each stanza, the sincerity of each beat, the earnestness of every syllable.
The second volume takes on a different approach. The catalyst of each expression stems from the seeds of admiration. In the poem below, you can feel the author's demonstration of affection. Sometimes that which you seek is right under your nose.
DON’T KEEP SEARCHING, I’M RIGHT HERE
Been searching for a special love,
Praying to the heaven’s above
Your love right here on earth
You still going on a search
I’ve been your friend for years
Seen you shredding all those tears
But don’t you have no fear
I’ve been right here for years
Don’t go looking here and there
Don’t keep searching, I’m right here
