Author Biography

After spending over twenty years in the medical field Kim spends his time writing Science Fiction not medical thrillers.

He states, "The truth is, space adventure has always grabbed me in ways nothing else could. I remember watching Sputnik (the first Russian satellite) travel across the night sky when I was a child.

It fascinated me then and still does. I like to think of my writing as an image of how every kid wants to be the hero of a great adventure."

Kim grew up in California and still lives there with his wife and children. He loves being just a few hours from the mountains and the sea. Kim and his wife frequently visit Yosemite, Lake Tahoe, Monterey, and Carmel.

"Writing science fiction adventure puts me in a world of my own. A world that I would really want to be part of in real life. It is also a world that I am excited to share with everyone.

TransLight Nation (The Lassting Saga) by Kim Myron Shindler brings us to the world of Rhon Lassting, who continues to push forward into the unknown realms of space. Rhon is forced from planet Earth and he must continue to move forward. He has been given special abilities by the Gratorians and he has his own technology that he developed as well. Now he must use this technology to defend his people from those he once saved on Earth. While he moves forward, he must create a government, his own rules and, most important of all, he must survive. Welcome to the first city on the Moon - the nation of TransLight.

This is a very interesting book that once I started reading I could not set down, not even for a little bit. I did not know it was the second book in a series before I started reading, but it stands alone very well. I think starting at the beginning would just give me a little more information on some of the finer details. That said, I really enjoyed this book. You can tell that Kim Myron Shindler put a lot of work into it and it flows beautifully. I found Rhon to be a compelling and interesting character with many layers. I asked myself several times while reading what would I do if this was me? What would I do if I had to go through and do what Rhon did. I love a book that allows me to put myself into the character's shoes. This is engaging and I highly recommend it.

Really enjoyed the sequel to his first book. It was like going on a space adventure with a good friend. It is light reading and a perfect weekend read
