In Tune In by Sarah Crowne, Nikki Scott, a global pop sensation, was at the height of her career and seeking even more fame. Nikki’s mom died in the middle of a concert after she warned Nikki to cancel the after-party. Nikki was shocked by her mother’s sudden death and felt there was something suspicious about her demise. Nikki was desperate for answers about her mother’s passing and why her mother wanted her to cancel. Nikki reunites with her Special Forces brother, whom she last saw two years ago. Nikki finds herself in the middle of a web of secrets and uncovers disturbing truths about her family. Nikki had a powerful ability connected to her voice, and an organization wanted to exploit that ability.

Tune In by Sarah Crowne is a fast-paced story and jam-packed with action. The action starts on the first page and never lets up. The suspense and tension kept me turning the pages; I had to know what would happen next. I was guessing from the start until the end and was wrong every time. Identity, manipulation, and family bonds were woven through the plot. The descriptions of the events are vivid, and I felt part of Nikki’s quest to find answers. The characters were relatable, and Nikki was just a teenager trying to adapt to her fame. She did not realize that she was being manipulated. The book was beautifully written and held my attention throughout. I enjoyed reading this book, and the ending was very satisfying.
