The death of a loved one is difficult to overcome. But the murder of a family member and being left with more questions than answers, even after the murderer has been found and sentenced, is impossible to express. For Stacey Andrade King and her family, the loss of Nancy Jo Andrade, mother, sister, daughter, and friend, was a tragedy. To learn that her death was the result of nothing more than greed and that her murderer felt no hint of remorse at what he did was even worse. But nothing could have prepared them for the letter from the District Attorney’s office decades later. The one that said they could all find themselves right back in the middle of the worst experience of their lives. Until She’s Found is an introduction to the grief, the loss, and the profound pain of a family whose mourning has only just begun again.

It's nearly impossible for someone who hasn’t lived the pain of loss to be able to articulate it, and Stacey Andrade King has certainly lived it. When she was 12 years old, her life changed forever when she said goodbye to her mother for the last time. And then it changed again with the sentencing of the man responsible. But this is the story of what happened after the murder trial and the sentencing. It’s about the revictimization of victims in the court system. Stacey’s story, and her mother’s story, are almost unbelievable, but they’re also the stories that so many victims live every day. There’s pain, hope, loss, desperation, and through it all, a feeling of strength and determination to see things through to the end. No matter what that may be.
