Veiled Sun is a work of fiction in the futuristic, science fiction, and Christian fiction subgenres, and forms the second part of the Tomorrow's Edge trilogy. Penned by author Brett Armstrong, this work is suitable for the general adult reading audience as well as for older teens. In a thrilling and chilling vision of the future, we follow the events of Day Moon into a world where the influence of the dangerous Project Alexandria grows more obvious every day. As digital values shape a dark world all around him, seventeen-year-old Elliot Calhoun must utilize his grandfather’s old programming to infiltrate, but there are those who will stop at nothing to put an end to his interference.
Author Brett Armstrong delivers a sensational follow-up to Day Moon with a novel that never lets up on pace, style, and intricacy. It can be difficult to raise the stakes in the middle novel of any trilogy, but the author’s intricate knowledge of computer programming really draws you into Elliot’s world, highlighting all the subtle dangers that are building with every turn of the page. As this clinging sense of dread envelops us, we get to know Elliot on a much deeper level, watching his faith being tested by the sinister influences around him, and his journey of self-belief and knowing that he’s never truly alone in this world was heartfelt and empowering. Fans of Christian fiction and hard sci-fi will both find much to celebrate in Veiled Sun, and I’d especially recommend it for fans of cyber-thrillers and dystopian adventures.
