“To be stupid means one lacks in understanding.”  Henry Shephard offers readers a tongue in cheek look at stupid.  We can all recall times when we heard someone say or do something stupid.  “If you ask yourself if you are stupid and you say no, you might want a second opinion.”  It seems you find a lot of stupid at fast-food restaurants.  If you really want to see it try giving the clerk the correct change and a dollar too much. It confuses them every time.  Shephard includes a list of Stupid categories.  My favorite part is the self assessment test.

Shephard’s small book examines many aspects of stupid.  I did not know there were that many aspects.  Shephard brings his knowledge and experience to his book.  He has worked in the school system and prison system for many years.  I found What Are You, Stupid? to be humorous and to hold a lot of truth.
