Author Biography

I've always liked writing. My short stories and poems were first published by the literary magazine Croatian Thought in my native language. I started writing screenplays to practice my English. I enjoyed it so much that I soon realised that I also wanted to write short stories and novels.
My screenplays have placed highly in many screenwriting competitions. Currently, I am turning my screenplay ‘Vesna’s Beach’, a semi-finalist in the Page International Awards, into a novel.
Being a parent (and happy servant) to five rescue cats, I hold my Lilly-Puss and Pharaoh series close to my heart (on Amazon now).
My sci-fi/rom-com ‘Painting Her Thoughts’ will be self-published in November 2023 on Amazon.

The first book of the Lilly-Puss and Pharaoh series, Where is Home by Natasha Blazic, begins when poor little Pharaoh is separated from his mother and sister, Velvet, due to a fire that broke out in their home. Pharaoh was lost, afraid, and starving and had no idea what to do next to find his family. He yearned for his family and pondered when he would see them again. Fortunately, he and another lovely fluffy rescue kitten named Lilly-Puss were adopted by a caring couple. Lilly-Puss appeared to be a silly kitten, yet Pharaoh treated her kindly. However, due to Lilly-Puss' mischief, Pharaoh finds himself in a dangerous position. Will Lilly-Puss be able to fix her own mistakes and save Pharaoh? Read Where is Home? to find out what happens next to Pharaoh!

Where is Home? by Natasha Blazic is a fantastic and well-written story told from the perspective of a cat. The vibrant illustrations on several pages were charming and made the reading more enjoyable. There are a lot of valuable lessons that can be learned from Pharaoh the kitten. One of the lessons I gained from his experience is that if you fail to receive any form of kindness, be the one who offers it first. Even if someone is a little mean to you, that doesn't mean you have to lose yourself to treat them the same way or it will just be a cycle. Always stay the way you are as a good person because kindness fosters compassion. Another thing I learned from this story is to always think of the possible consequences before playing a prank on someone. This story is ideal for children because it teaches them that all their actions have an equal and opposite reaction. Overall, the story was both educational and entertaining. Outstanding work!

The immersive children’s story, Lilly-Puss and Pharaoh: Where is Home (Book 1) by Natasha Blazic follows two rescue cats’ adventures; one cat searches for freedom while the other hopes to find a new home and his lost family. After a devastating fire burns down Pharaoh’s home, he finds himself in an animal shelter living with Lilly-Puss, a beautiful calico cat. As he reflects on his recent experiences, Pharaoh feels hopeless and wishes he had a friend. While Pharaoh is determined to find a lovely home with a caring family who can take care of them, Lilly-Puss hopes to escape and gain freedom from humans. Her desire for liberty leads them into a dangerous adventure. Through their experiences, they learn lessons about friendship, family, and trust.

Told through both cats’ entertaining perspectives, this is a charming tale with useful lessons for readers. Blazic has created splendid characters who face familiar struggles and grow throughout the story. I loved the unexpected twists in the book and found the plot suspenseful and well-crafted. The story’s themes of friendship and family are well-explored through the characters’ charming experiences. I found the dialogue engaging and the cats’ perspectives humorous. The illustrations are eye-catching and detailed. They help bring the characters to life. Witty and masterfully crafted, Lilly-Puss and Pharaoh by Natasha Blazic is a captivating story with a rewarding ending. Young readers will love its lively illustrations and enjoy the characters’ thrilling adventures. The book will be an excellent addition to every child’s library.

Natasha Blazic has given children the gift of understanding “cat.” Where Is Home? (Lilly-Puss and Pharaoh Book 1) is the delightful tale of two cats, Pharaoh a male cat who is telepathic, and Lilly-Puss who is a female calico. Pharaoh’s house burns down, and humans rescue him. They take him to a shelter where he is put in a cage with Lilly-Puss. Lilly-Puss does not trust humans, but Pharaoh knows the role of humans is to serve cats. They are adopted together and move to their new home. What kind of trouble can cats get into? Lots! When Pharaoh nearly dies, Lilly-Puss realizes the value of friendship. They agree to work together to find Pharaoh's mom and sister. What does home mean to you? Find out what it means to these two cats as they find friendship, safety, and belonging.

Where Is Home? is a children’s book that teaches what friendship means and how, by cooperating with each other, amazing things can be accomplished. Many lessons can be learned by sharing this book with your children. Home safety and what to do in case of a fire are vitally important and you can develop a plan with your children. Reading this story written from the cats’ perspective gives a fun and novel way to approach difficult subjects like separation, fire, danger, and others. You may have to explain to your children what telepathic means although they probably will pick up on the meaning as they read. As you read this book with your child, help them understand that home is where the heart is and where you are totally accepted and loved.
