Scott LaPierre is the teaching pastor of Woodland Christian Church in Woodland, WA, an author, and conference speaker. He holds an MA in Biblical Studies from Liberty University. The book is especially helpful for parents of older children and teenagers who need to begin cultivating attributes of hard work ethic and work/rest balance. The guide incorporates strong reflection questions that help the family to set personal goals. I found the questions inspirational, acting as a springboard launching me toward action. The book is set up so that each person can review and reflect upon it, and go over it as a family unit, weekly. This timeframe can be adjusted as needed. The guide incorporates godly insights, Bible-based teaching, and research to support the biblical framework for a healthy work/rest, God-honoring lifestyle.

Author Scott LaPierre does a phenomenal job of providing real-life experiences and examples that support God’s view of work and rest. God created work. He created rest.
