Young World Travelers and the Magical Crystal Globe by Demetra Tsavaris-Lecourezos is a magical adventure story book for children. “The best part is, if the person who holds the Magical Crystal Globe shuts his eyes, he can imagine he is whoever he wants to be, at any period of time in history, and be anywhere in the world!” Those lines sum up the whimsical aspect of the plot. Six friends set off on an adventure to New York using Mrs. Eva's Magical Crystal Globe. The book takes you along with these young adventurers to many destinations and sites like Flushing Meadows, a Civil War fort, the Queens County Farm and the sites of the 1938 and 1964 World Fairs. You can see them riding a train, a covered wagon or a classic car to reach their destination. Come and join these kids on their adventure trip!

It is a magical journey and one that also proves to be informative from an educational point of view where young readers are exposed to new places, thoughts and ideas. The illustrations are bright and cheerful and give all the characters a personality. It also gives movement to the story. The journey exposes them to history, culture, currency, food, architecture and many more other things. With the help of illustrations and delightful narration, it makes learning easier for children. The book is perfect for young explorers and will be useful in school and children’s libraries. It educates children on various concepts and the culture of other places in an entertaining manner.
