Marne Ventura's 12 Entertainers with Disabilities will show children how people with disabilities have achieved amazing feats in their entertainment careers. This book includes several significant names such as Stevie Wonder, Daniel Radcliffe, Marlee Matlin, and Michael J. Fox. This book will help children learn about various disabilities which include cerebral palsy, Parkinson’s, and dyspraxia. They’ll see notable faces from Harry Potter and Back to the Future along with famous musicians and actors such as Kiera Knightly and Stevie Wonder. Each of these entertainers will allow children with disabilities to see themselves and see the successful careers each of these entertainers has, which will inspire youngsters to live out their own dreams by showing them that they’re capable of anything.

This book includes amazing photos and facts about each of these entertainers, which starts with Stevie Wonder who made a name for himself with his incredible musical talent and was a musical prodigy by age eight. Marne Ventura weaves fun facts throughout that show children the contributions each entertainer has given to their industry. Marlee Matlin is an Oscar-winning actress and through her story children learn about American Sign Language. Michael J. Fox was a household name for his role of Marty McFly and his time on Family Ties, but in 1991, he was diagnosed with Parkinson’s and as his condition worsened he eventually left the sitcom Spin City. Children will love seeing Daniel Radcliffe in a way they haven’t before with his diagnosis of dyspraxia which will allow children with disabilities to connect personally with Harry Potter. Marne Ventura's 12 Entertainers with Disabilities is an amazing resource that will educate children while using twelve performers to inspire children with disabilities and help them see themselves in a new light.
