Like many of you, I am a full-time working mother, juggling all the normal home activities, corporate tasks, school functions and obligations a family has.

For those of you who have read my first few books, you’ve probably already figured out that I have a somewhat dark and twisted side to my personality.
The origin of my dark and twisty side goes all the way back to my childhood. Ever since I was a young girl, I’ve almost always had a book in my hand and would read just about anything that sounded interesting to me. ‘A Wrinkle in Time,’ by Madeleine L’Engle, was one of my favorites.
Then as I grew older, I read my first gritty, gory crime fiction novel and was instantly hooked. From that point forward, I began seeking out other authors who wrote in that same genre as well as the genre of paranormal fiction. That seemed to satiate my literary mind for a few years, however after a while, I found myself looking beyond the arsenal of writers I had in my collection, and I found myself yearning for an author who would write that one type of story I seemed to be looking for, without really knowing what type of story that was.
It was then, when I asked myself, “Why are you waiting for someone else to write the story you want to read, why don’t you write it yourself?” It seemed like a reasonable question.
So, in the fall of 2012, I began writing my first novel, ‘First Sight, A Tori Cooper Novel,’ and published it on Amazon.com in May of 2013. The response from my family, friends and fans was so uplifting and supportive, I decided to continue the story and published my second novel, ‘The Enlightenment, Book Two In The Tori Cooper Novels,’ in March of 2014.
Book three, ‘Guardians of the Chosen,’ followed in March of 2015.

The Enlightenment is Book Two of the Tori Cooper Novels by Vicki Stewart, following the development of Tori and her friends as FBI cadets. Already surviving a murder attempt, Tori becomes embroiled in this new case and discovers a new ability as well – she can pick up the emotional residue of the crime by touching an item related to it. In the quest for the creator of beautiful hybrid roses, the FBI team uncovers evidence that points to the killer who is a pawn of Satan, a figure that has become real to Tori in vivid dreams. These dreams not only move Tori along in her ability to find and face the killer, they also begin to explain her connection to an ancient time when fallen angels roamed the earth and lived among the people. How deep will her relationship with Satan become and will Tori hold onto her pure heart and caring nature in the face of his demands?
Tori Cooper is an amazing character with depth and heart, and this is an incredible story. Vicki Stewart has created a wonderful series based on Tori’s unique abilities and her quest to become an FBI agent attached to the Behavioral Analysis Unit. Well written dialogue, fast-paced action, terrific supporting characters and a strong paranormal sub-plot make The Enlightenment, Book Two of the Tori Cooper Novels well worth reading on many levels.
