Treat yourselves and your loved ones for the upcoming Christmas with a Christmas tale for the ages with R.J. Amezcua's A Femich Christmas. Complemented by some enchanting illustrations by Rabindra Nath Barman, transport yourselves to the magical land of Femich, where Santa and his helpers prepare gifts for all. This season, however, there is brewing resentment between the villages of Hopy and Kiko, both of whom suspect the other of sabotaging their Christmas. Now, it is up to young Sheribelle -- assigned by the Queen of the Dalimixies -- to embark on a quest to restore the Heart of Christmas. With the Blue Star as her guide, Sheribelle sets out in her sled and lands in the snow-covered Nabba Forest, where she meets a small boy named Sammy from the Kiko village. Together, the two children must revive the Christmas spirit.

Christmas is a time for joy, love, and empathy. Author R.J. Amezcua captures its very essence in A Femich Christmas. With two charming youngsters as the main protagonists, this children's picture book showcases what Christmas is all about. It is not a season for petty squabbles or rivalries but a time to share happiness and joy between friends, family, and even people you may think of as 'others.' Sheribelle and Sammy achieve what the adults of their respective villages could not, solving their people's misunderstandings and spreading love and understanding all around. Even though this is primarily a children's book, I think even adults can learn something from the adventures of Sheribelle and Sammy.

It’s Christmas time in the land of Femich and R.J. Amezcua introduces us to unique characters in A Femich Christmas. Unfortunately, before everyone can celebrate and enjoy Christmas Day, something goes missing. The Hopy and the Kiko people have each lost an important key to the success of Christmas, and sadly are blaming each other. Sheribelle, a brave little girl, embarks on an adventure to restore the Heart of Christmas. With the help of the Queen of the Dalimixies and her faithful helpers, she sets out on a journey to save Christmas. Along the way, she saves and befriends a helpless boy in the forest. Through her generosity and selflessness, they bridge the divide between their two people and save Christmas together.

R.J. Amezcua builds an unusual and inspiring world in A Femich Christmas. Amezcua stays true to the spirit of Christmas and shows us that we all have something in common and should love one another. Rabindra Nath Barman provides us with arresting, fully detailed characters and backgrounds akin to the detail in a movie. Children will love the different and colorful characters as well as the message of love and friendship, especially around Christmas time. There is even a special song at the end of the book provided by Brody Worrell, with sheet music included for the musically inclined. This is a wonderful story about overcoming prejudice, helping people, and sharing love during one of the most wonderful holidays in the world. It's a delightful book; a beautiful story that I thoroughly enjoyed.
